Sebastián describes himself as an Internet Sociotechnologist. He is an Earlham College Human Development and Social Relations scholar, currently working as a digital culture and community maker consultant. Sebastián’s research focuses on the space between individuals and their systems both cultural and social, how individuals understand themselves in relation to physical institutions like governments or significant others and social constructions such as gender or social status. Furthermore, this exploration of meaning and identity emerging from the self within society is constantly shifting in the digital era, and such area of study is what he seeks to understand. Sebastián lives in that liminal space in which ICTs meet with our own paradigms, values and truths.
