It’s been a great privilege to be able to join in and share ideas with the wider SOLE community of practitioners to help me on my own journey. I’m particularly interested in combining the use of more global and philosophical questions through the SOLE methodology.

As someone who is committed to children’s rights, I’m also interested in the potential of SOLE as a methodology that could offer an equality in education globally.

Organisation: My Education Room

Having spent over eighteen years as an instructor, department head and director of operations and academics in post-secondary institutions I saw first-hand the powerful influence of self-organized/flipped classroom learning environments. The concept can work at the post-secondary level too!  As the founder of myeducationroom.com I was inspired by Sugata Mitra’s Ted Talk to create an environment whereby certified K-12 teachers, students and grannies can now open online SOLE groups worldwide.

Greenfield Arts is host to one of the seven original School in the Cloud Labs. As a facilitator of SOLE sessions, I’ve found that the core of my learning takes place through the session itself – through observation of behavioural elements and the educational outcomes. It’s brilliant to see the dynamics that appear between groups and how each person works differently. I learn something new each session.
